Living in Rio de Janeiro, this family needed a home to stay only a few days a week in the city of Sao Paulo. Therefore, simple technical and conception solutions were the guide for the design of FJC apartment.
Ilana Bessler was born on 1977 in Rio de Janeiro and lives and works in São Paulo. As a visual artist, photography has become her primary medium for expression. Her artwork can also come to life in installations, objects and videos. In her creative process, she interacts with the public by using distinct media and the internet. She holds a degree in Social Communication and Post-Graduate studies in Visual Anthropology and Digital media. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Italy and the United States
The project is a major renovation of an apartment built in the early 60´s in Sao Paulo, which already had a good plan, yet compartmentalized in it´s original distribution. Our proposal retains much of this distribution, but applying a series of changes that transform not only the space of the apartment
