Spiral Washbasin - interesting and elegant design by Naser Nasiri & Taher Nasiri

The Iranian designers Naser Nasiri and Taher Nasiri are proposing to us an interesting and elegant spiral shaped washbasin. What has inspired them? In many cultures, there are legends that tell us that snakes have always been those which guarded treasures and valuable things. As the water is a valuable resource, the two designers have thought that a sink shaped as a coiled snake would recollect these legends and the fact that water is a natural treasure that we sometimes do not appreciate it at its true value. Using the hands in public places for the opening of a valve can be unpleasant for some people, so the designers have equipped Spiral Washbasin with a foot pedal that can control the jet of water and its temperature. The materials used to realize this sink are ceramic and plastic. Having a futuristic aspect, the Spiral Washbasin has an elegant design and a rich symbolic charge. Via A’design Award and Competition
