In the sun-kissed embrace of Paradise Valley, Arizona sits “Mockingbird residence,” a slung courtyard-style home designed by the architecture firm The Ranch Mine.
Three tall houses that leave enough room for parking, structure, and waste that gives a healthy amount of land over to Sonoran landscape. In addition, a semi-public square is provided.
This Master Suite addition had the typical site challenges, zoning restrictions, and budgetary constraints that architects are all too familiar with, but what made this project uniquely differently was the client’s willingness to explore unconventional solutions.
Inspired by the likes of Tulum, Mexico, our goal was to create a home that felt comfortable and lived in by incorporating earthy, rustic elements with clean, modern lines and luxury amenities.
The house is named “White Dates House,” a play on White Gates inspired by the Date palm trees found on the site, including one that is used to mark the entry of the home.
The Ranch Mine has completed the Rove House, a family home in Arizona’s Paradise Valley, drawing cues from a style of house that was popular in the 1930s.
Emerging from the harsh yet beautiful landscape of the San Francisco Volcanic Field in Flagstaff, Arizona, “Noir Peaks house” is a new 2405 square foot home designed by The Ranch Mine.
