The brainchild of developer/architect Michael Kirchman of GDS Development and designed by Fogarty Finger Architects, 25 Mercer’s Townhouse occupies three floors. The project is subdivided into five boutique residences including one townhouse, three full-floor loft apartments, and a duplex penthouse.
The existing property consisted of a four-storey Victorian terraced house divided into 11 bedsits with a back garden. The client wished to convert the property into a new co-living concept to cater to the strong rental demand in London and changing living habits. Bicbloc managed to reconfigure the original layout into 14 serviced 18 sqm studio apartments.

When the old Schmidt Brewery of St. Paul, MN halted its beer making in 1990, it became a symbol of the gutted working-class in the city’s West Seventh Street neighborhood.
We had the opportunity to work in a blacksmith workshop to turn it into a home. Despite the need to completely change the configuration of space and structure we have tried to preserve the spirit of the workshop, the cranes, the light the systems and the materials.
The client’s brief was to demolish an existing single-storey storage garage and construct a new two bedroom courtyard home in an awkward space between rear terraced gardens and a row of 16 garages in West London.
This house is located in a small village in Azeitao, south of Lisbon. Protected by hills from the Atlantic Ocean, the area has a mild Mediterranean microclimate, creating the ideal conditions for growing grapes, producing some of the country’s finest wines.
The goal of this project was to transform an existing storage on the roof of a residential apartment to a livable place. Considering the fact that existing space was very limited, design team initial concept was to incorporate all the residential required spaces in such a small space.
