A renovation of a renovation. The lower level duplex of a Clinton Hill townhouse was purchased somewhat half way renovated by a developer. The floor plan worked but it just wasn’t right.
In the original layout of the Scenic Ballade apartment, the kitchen faced south; we altered the floor plan by creating an open space combining the kitchen with the living room. We additionally installed a kitchen island to facilitate the preparation of cooking ingredients.
The design realized by Baukind has educational potential, it encourages the children’s social interaction and it has as a source of inspiration the human’s day-to-day activities.
