The ” House for a Daughter ” is divided into two zones. Reserved for the daughter, the back of the house consists of a connected bedroom and study that occupies two floors, while the front part of the house comprises bedrooms for her parents and brother.
Located west of Ho Chi Minh city on a 5m x 15m land, the Pattern House by MM++ Architects is an example of the standard south east Asian housing type called “shop-house” or “tube house”.

The Vietnam traditional house is stretched from front to back creating continuous functional spaces. These spaces’ boundaries are estimated by light with different intensity and darkness. The layout utilizes the wind direction of the local area in different seasons.
