Oia Summer House by Kapsimalis Architects is a timeless renovation of a traditional cave dwelling in the heart of Oia, Santorini. Perched on the cliffs of the Caldera, this two-level residence faces east toward the Volcano and the Aegean Sea, ensuring that every room captures breathtaking vistas.

The project’s intention was to reconstruct an old, two storey family residence placed in the center of Fira Village, which was initially built after the 1956’s earthquake of Santorini and expanded in height during the 80s’.
Neo Hotel is located on the edge of the extension of the village of Fira in Santorini, a residential area densely built. The L shaped plot is part of a building block, has a slight inclination and view to the North & East towards the sea
The Saint hotel is located on the edge of the traditional village of Oia, at the top of the Caldera volcanic rocks. The plot has a steep ground slope, southwest orientation and unobstructed views to the sea and the volcano.
The bearing structure of the Santorini summer house has been made by reinforced concrete. Local black stone, bricks and thermal insulation have been used for the walls, as also colored earthy plaster for the coatings and the exterior floors.
