The brief challenged the architect to create a subtle structure connected with the environment while maximizing the views, leading Kirby to the counter-intuitive move of hunkering the Moonah Tree house into the landscape.
The secret to a successful holiday home is to incorporate options for private retreat that are complemented by spaces which gather family together for meals, games and entertaining.
Having enjoyed this gracious Victorian villa for over ten years, the owners asked Kirby Roper, Director of Kirby Architects, to evolve the house so that it could function in different modes and adapt to suit their future.
