The Container House is a commission for a couple with three grown children who requested a compact and simplified living arrangement with an eye to retirement. They sought spaces that offered the ease of an apartment with the addition of inviting and sizeable covered outdoor areas.
The protagonist of the project is an 80-year-old “Pich” tree. The Tree House is design around the tree, through the use of an “L” scheme, geometrizing the land, an opening gesture is achieved towards the tree.
This weekend house is created by uniting volumes to make an L shape with a covered roof. Patios are inserted into the longest volume, preserving pre-exiting trees on site, allowing vegetation to take over the project,
The house us built on a square lot of 600m2 in diameter, designed as an L shaped bench facing the gard. The two sides of the L-shape home contain the public functions, facing the yard and wrapped around the outdoor sitting area. The swimming pool is located at the back of the yard.
Rishon LeZion House is a single-family house designed by Shachar Rozenfeld Architects, an Israeli studio founded in 2009 by the architects Yael Shachar and Lior Rozenfeld. The house is built on a narrow trapezoid lot, bordering a small green public park with ancient Eucalyptus trees.
Fyren House is a private residence designed by Canadian studio Omar Gandhi Architect. The home is a beacon high atop the hillside.
