The new office at 2 Park Avenue, a building with a landmarked exterior, was a blank canvas presenting an opportunity, for the first time, for the firm to design an office environment suitable to the team’s work styles.
The family of four, a husband and wife working in the publishing field, and their two daughters, lived in the house for ten years before deciding to do an extension to expand their kitchen and to create bigger rooms for their two daughters.
The clients for this wood frame townhouse renovation and extension wanted a house full of saturated color, pattern, texture, and light, with Art Deco and mid-century touches and reclaimed materials.
The Scenic Shed is a 500 sf single-room space of leisure located in New York’s Hudson Valley. The structure was built using conventional wood framing on a concrete slab foundation and the low-maintenance white stucco exterior abstracts the building against the natural landscape.

The client for this project called upon us to design a “Pagoda” style cabana in their rear yard that would coordinate with a landscape design (pool, patios, tennis court) prepared by a contractor.
This space was designed for a growing family. To add some whimsy to an otherwise very grown-up and elegant space, Glickman Schlesinger had each of the kids select their own color of faucet for their respective bathrooms.
