Located in the vibrant back streets of Fitzroy, Melbourne, King Bill house is the renovation and extension of a double story terrace house and neighbouring garden. The King Bill house (one of 5 terraces built circa 1850) and its eastern garden were initially separate lots that were recently consolidated onto a single title.
The project at Newbattle House has seen the renovation and extension of a 19th century stable block to form an artist studio and family garden room. Although the stable building itself is not listed, the adjacent church, former manse and boundary wall are all B-listed meaning a sensitive intervention was required.
Carried out in a residential area of the Rosemont–La-Petite-Patrie borough, the Dandurand Multi-Dwellings project consisted in renovating and expanding a duplex built in the 1920s that housed three dwelling units. The added storey harmonized the building with the size of the surrounding constructions.
Lincoln Road House is our latest project in the “county roads” of East Finchley. Following a visit to our Durham Road project while it was under construction, the homeowners Ed and Elena signed us up to help renovate and extend what was perhaps the last unloved house in the neighbourhood.
This project is a renovation and extension to a 12′ wide rowhouse in Brooklyn, New York. BFDO completely gutted the existing four story brick building and added a two story extension.
