Skylab Architecture

Skylab Architecture is a Portland, Oregon–based interdisciplinary design studio that explores the convergence of architecture, research, and fabrication. The practice describes itself as a collective of architects, designers, makers, and entrepreneurs, working together to push boundaries in how design can shape human experience and the built environment. Their ethos leans toward optimism, curiosity, and experimentation in design.

Since its founding in 1999 by Jeff Kovel, the studio has delivered a variety of projects across sectors such as offices, residential, cultural, and hospitality. Skylab is known for exploring spatial narratives, material innovation, and conceptual architecture that seeks to reveal unseen aspects of place and structure.
