StudioAC presents Cherry Valley, a residence situated in Prince Edward County, two and a half hours east of Toronto. The Cherry Valley House is sunken into the ridge, once again protected at its back and providing a vantage point below the trees.
Located just off a busy retail/commuter street in Toronto this house was conceived as a simple architectural proposition. A box with one simple spatial gesture that attempts to refine quite common social orientations within the home.
The Pape Loft exists inside of a converted church in the east end of Toronto. The result of this conversion is major variation from unit to unit, most of which are multi-story loft spaces with some structural quirks throughout.
For the Richview Residence, StudioAC was tasked with creating a concept that maintained an open layout while housing as much storage as possible for this growing family.
For this small west Toronto renovation, rather than imagine a home comprised of rooms within an open plan we conceived a room revolving around a singular mass. The ‘mass’ presents the aesthetic grounding for the project while also containing all of its support functions in a clean plywood wrapper.
