The Cable House transforms a small, dark workers’ cottage into a contemporary family home, finding elegant solutions to the challenges posed by the dense urban environment, narrow south-facing site and heritage context.
The renovations + additions took cue from this wall utilizing a variety of bricks throughout the extension. Recycled bricks sourced extended the remnant wall, adding texture and colour in an otherwise monochrome extension.
This old Maylands cottage was modified and decorated by Dalecki Design Studio.
