This stunning baby furniture collection – Anaiza, designed by a mum from London- Kyra Algazi, transforms your entire inner child dream in reality and your baby room in a fantasy. Kyra Algazi set out on a personal quest to create something which stands out from the crowd after growing tired of dull and uninspiring pieces when furnishing her daughter’s nursery.
“It’s not an exaggeration to say we searched all over the world for something different, a one-off piece to put in her room. We wanted beauty and craftsmanship in a nursery where our daughter would grow to discover more about the world around her. Children need stimulation from day one. We were keen to develop her sense of adventure and bringing the safari into her room seemed the best way to do it” Kyra explains.
The Anaiza collection is been inspired by Kyra’s travels to south-west Tanzania and tried to bring to life a bit of that magic land and the big amazing animals who lives there. She wanted something unique so that’s why it is handcraft and hand painted, made by master craftsmen in Latin America using European alder wood, ideal for ready to finish furniture because of its smooth finish and ability to take wood stain.
The first time when you look at the pictures of Anaiza children’s furniture, instantly your mind goes to the movie “The Chronicle of Narnia”, especially the wardrobe – Amos, which it looks very familiar with the one through which the children stepped in a world of fantasy and adventure.
Amos is an elegant beautiful wardrobe with a lion on top where very proudly keeps a watchful eye over your baby. The 2 colors, white and gold are complementing each other so well.
Valentina is this adorable elephant cot, oval shaped, exactly as a real animal should be. The mattress level changes up and down as you need it.
Dahlia is this unique and elegant changing table with 2 long drawers and 2 small ones at the top. And above all a giraffe peers from behind having a cheeky peek at everything that happens on top. The legs of the unit are real giraffe legs with regal golden hoofs. The shape and the two colors are so right for this piece that makes you say only one word-“Perfect”
Jacinto is a storage trunk in a shape of an elephant again. Its full of character and grace, with little gold-star adornments at his feet. It easily serves as a storage unit but also as a playful thing where older kids can have a bit of fun. For Jacinto, the elephant trunk the price starts at £950 and go up to 7,500 for the Amos wardrobe for example. But its all worth it considering that all pieces had been handcraft and handpainted and takes 6-10 weeks to create one. This collection is elegant, unique, amazing and stunning, fit for a king or a queen.
