This is an old house in Barcelona, recently renovated by José Luis Hausmann. The house has two floors and a terrace and was once a dark and dilapidated garage. Located in El Poblenou, near the beach, the house is now bright and hot, with a gorgeous Mediterranean charm.
Given its proximity to the sea, the homeowner envisioned a décor that channels the essence of Mediterranean architecture, incorporating subtle shades of blue throughout the interiors. This vision is artfully translated into the design with doors adorned in soft blue hues, reclaimed furnishings refreshed in coordinating tones, and carefully curated accessories featuring varying shades of blue. Additionally, Mediterranean influences permeate the aesthetic through the incorporation of natural fibers like wicker baskets, straw hats, and bags, collectively imbuing the living spaces with a rustic charm and evoking a serene coastal ambiance.
