Arjen Reas Architecten is a Rotterdam based architectural firm, founded by Arjen Reas. The office is specialized in the fields of architecture, interior design, engineering and is currently involved in projects in the Netherlands, Austria and Portugal. The architecture of AR has evolved from an awareness of current developments and the urge to look every time again at the opportunities of existing and new techniques within the context of a project. This way we are able to offer innovative design solutions with a strong concept, which perfectly meet the contemporary life of each client.
In our projects, we are always looking for the right combination of proportion, light, color and material. Each situation is different, because of this we are able to to make every design personal. Through close contact with our clients we create a partnership resulting in the best design solutions.

The Rottekade house ultimately underwent a major transformation in which we not only enlarged the space but also gave a new identity to the house with a thatched roof and a variation between plaster, wood, Danish brickwork, and glass.
In the authentic district Hillegersberg – Schiebroek in Rotterdam, there stands a characteristic corner house from the year 1956.
Within this oasis, we wanted to develop a home that both focuses on the connection between daily life and the green garden around the villa, as the value of this location with respect to the surrounded residents.
On the Akerdijk in Lijnden we have had the opportunity to develop a dyke house for a single family in a place where there is a lot of dynamism due to special views, a deep back garden and the level difference that is present because of the dyke.
