Naustreitur – A Hotel Downtown Reykjavik

Naustreitur is at the juncture of Reykjavík´s lively harbourfront, Kvosin (downtown) and the original Vesturbær. The larger city block is defined by the streets Grófin, Vesturgata, Norðurstígur and Tryggvagata.

Single Family House in Fossvogur, Iceland / Gláma Kím Architects

A mid 1960´s villa by architect Guðmundur Kr. Kristinsson needed renovation and repair. The original house was a prime example of late modern architecture in Reykjavik. The project encompassed exterior renovations and retrofitting executed with respect to the high quality typical of Guðmundur´s design.

Prefabricated Wooden House by Gláma Kím Architects

This prefabricated wooden house is laid out so all family members are aware of each other, yet respecting everyone´s privacy. A large open space (almost 6 meters ceiling height) connects the living room, the kitchen, a workspace and the upper floor spaces.

Elegant Approach to Family Home Design in Reykjavík, Iceland

New construction of a single family house for a family of seven. The new two level building is organized around a lightwell on the entry level. The bedrooms are located to the northeast side, whilst the family room and kitchen are at the southwest side enjoying a view of the inlet beyond.

Concrete and Wood Summer House in South Iceland

The summer house stands on a ridge by a deep and rugged gulley, surrounded by awe-inspiring scenery; a panoramic view over a lake towards a distant mountain range in the north, a steep rock face beyond the gulley to the east, and diverse mountain ranges to the south and west.
