The Shoreland Overlook Residence utilizes the siting of a prior home, minimizing the impact on the forested site and nearby wetlands. No trees were removed to create a view, maintaining root systems for erosion control.
The Elevated Camp House is a four-season lakeside retreat for a family of five and is comprised of a 2,733 s.f. residence and a 382 s.f. guest cabin, linked via an elevated boardwalk.
Designed by Murdough Design, the Squam Lake Cabin is a lake home for a family and their guests. Sitting on an existing foundation, the home is thought of as a simple box protected by a large sheltering roof, with spaces designed to create a variety of distinct experiences.
Nestled into a Hemlock-Beech forest, the Lakeside Camping transforms an existing summer retreat into a three generation family compound. The camp’s quiet repose on the periphery of existing structures discreetly reorders the site, strengthening relational hierarchies and celebrating the landscape.
