This 1940s semi-detached brick home in Flemington has been treasured by the same family since it was originally built. The current owner, the great grandnephew of the original owner, was keen to honour its heritage in as many ways as possible.
For the new owners, we design a contemporary layer, redraw floor layouts, organize the flow of spaces and tune up the combinations of materials to preserve the original elements of the villa and meet the requirements of contemporary living.
A brand-new duplex for a small family was designed to give each family member its own space. The designer’s focus on natural elements and materials helped create tranquility and complement the mesmerizing sea view visible from the property.

Brereton collaborated once again with design architect Iwamoto Scott Architecture on the latest Pinterest headquarters. Located in a new six story concrete structure in San Francisco’s SOMA district, it is positioned to create an urban campus with their earlier workspaces completed down the street.
“Beaches House” is a split-level residence located in the middle of these two environments, with Kew Beach to the south, and Queen Street to the north.
This Two-Level Residence was planned by Architect and Interior Designer Inon Ben-David over a period of two years and another full year was dedicated to its construction.
