The design is meticulous and considerate where upon first look, the family residence appears to be floating, as it sits perched on a crest.

A two level family home built into the hillside of a sloping site on a small peninsula between Charteris Bay and Diamond Harbour, Banks Peninsula. The stone-clad base holding bedrooms is sunken into the land while extensive glazing opens the living level up to dramatic views. An organic roof form floats above this with the fascia clad in GRC paneling.

Located on a steep and technically challenging site in West Vancouver, the Sunset Residence is designed to capture immediate views of heavy marine traffic and the open sea to the west. The irregular shape of the sites boundaries align with the edge of the house and culminate in a substantial blinder which provided privacy from adjacent properties.
