The goal of the design for the main house was to complete the Fish Creek compound where multiple generations of the architect’s extended family could gather and experience the wonders of the site, while also serving as an intimate home for two.
Access to the Oceanside house is provided in two places. A stair leading from the beach lands on a deck that spans the width of the house (and has become a prime party location). The west side of the house abuts a pedestrian pathway.
The brief given by our client for this Victorian Terrace was to create a space in which they could relax but also entertain guests. When replanning their dining and formal living areas, we played with textures to create an engaging space suitable for various uses.
An opportunity to study / test within this space that would become my Home-Office and set up a laboratory of Architecture, where I could try out both space organization and execution solutions in detail.

Programmatically, the Northern Lake Home is composed of two primary massings separated by a glass core. Splaying out to the lake beyond and nestled into a natural swale, the public spaces contour along the landscape blurring the distinction between its built and natural environments.
This beautiful home is located in a residential area at the foothills of Los Andes mountain range. The plot, located on the east face of a small island hill, face the Andes mountains just a few kilometers away
