Fernando Guerra has been a pioneer in the way architecture is photographed and divulged. Fifteen years ago, he opened studio FG+SG together with his brother, and both are responsible in large part for the diffusion of Portuguese contemporary architecture in the last fifteen years.
The architect was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1970 and obtained a degree in Architecture from Lusíada University (Lisbon), before working as an architect in Macau for five years. Fernando had been taking photographs since he was 16 years old and, in 1999, with his brother Sérgio Guerra, founded the studio ‘FG+SG – Fotografia de Arquitectura’. Five years later, they established the publishing house ‘FG+SG – Livros de Imagem’ to publicise the various architectural works they photograph.

The implantation of the Fazenda Boa Vista Residence was a challenge due to the setback restrictions, which make it a narrow and long volume. The creation of interesting proportions, then, arises from volumes with sloping roofs, through differentiated and not perpendicular angles

The House in Praia do Pego is located in Grândola, around 900 meters from the coast. The site has an area of 1.239m² that provides a transition from the lower level of the public space, facing north, to a higher level of the site, facing south.
