Spencer Park House, a large semi-detached Victorian Villa in southwest London, underwent a significant transformation led by Cox Architects. While the property had already been modernized in 2016, it still presented challenges to its new owners.
The renovation and extension of Regent’s Park Terrace, a grand Grade II listed house located on a private street near The Regent’s Park in Camden Town, London, focused primarily on enhancing the connection between the living spaces and the garden.
The clients needed natural light. A lot of natural light. The best way to get this was with large skylights and these were heavy. Specialist lifting equipment was therefore required to haul each one over the top of the house
The key to the design… is hydraulic lime! Hence the name Lime House. To transform a 95 sq m derelict shop on a tiny site in a Conservation Area into a spacious four bedroom family house!
This 2000 sq ft West London home was completely rebuilt from the inside out and 500 sq ft of basement added to create a 5 bed, 4 bath family house with two double reception rooms. The project was completed by London-based studio Cox Architects.
This 1000sq ft Holland Park apartment was originally the second floor of one the white stuccoed villas. The conversion to flats meant that over time many alterations to the original layout had accrued.
The Hugo Road house was extended once before in 2003 by the same clients, working that time with Studio Cullinan and Buck Architects Ltd. Part of our brief involved updating the RIBA award-winning work done by SCABAL – most importantly the all-glass kitchen extension with the pioneering green roof.
Lincoln Road House is our latest project in the “county roads” of East Finchley. Following a visit to our Durham Road project while it was under construction, the homeowners Ed and Elena signed us up to help renovate and extend what was perhaps the last unloved house in the neighbourhood.
