The project consists of a renovation of an attic left unfinished. We tried to keep the existing partitions and to modify them in order to avoid major demolitions.

After a characteristically steep climb to the former storage attic of this building you enter in the heart of the loft. The skylight creates extra daylight in the darkest part of the house and is the foundation for a future home extension on the roof.
The starting point is an easily reconciled oxymoron: a dark attic penthouse located in a busy part of Barcelona that desired a much more open and active internal transit. And above all… tons of light.
