Designed by Barry Condon of Condon Scott Architects, Ruby Ridge House is situated on a challenging, wedge-shaped site that borders two suburban streets.
The chalet du Bois Flotté (the Driftwood Chalet) is located on the gently sloping terraces overlooking Cap-à -l’Aigle and the river. In the distance, one can see the Malbaie River and the slow movement of its tides.
Perched above the bedrock at the shore of a remote Canadian lake, the cedar-clad Kennedy House takes formal cues from driftwood. The three-bedroom house, dock house, garage, and walled vegetable garden are linked by a series of wood walkways and decks.
This beachfront house is located on the Atlantic coast in New Jersey. The lot is on the beachfront, but very small, tucked away from the street, and had many code-regulated square-footage and height restrictions.
Located at the juncture where a forest opens onto the bay, the Shore House was designed to capture both the intimacy of the wooded site and the expansiveness of the open water.
