Renowned Austin architect James LaRue, LaRue Architects, took his dated Austin condo down to the studs. James and his wife purchased the townhome in the a desirable west Austin neighborhood just over a year ago.
The scope for the renovation at this Roncesvalles Loft included main and second floor interior retrofit. The clients – a tech professional and an artist with their two daughters – wanted us to create an engaging and efficient space suitable for the whole family.
The interior of this 1990’s condo was gutted and completely reconfigured with a contemporary design that juxtaposes a refined palette of oak, stone and steel with the exposed raw concrete structure of the base building.
