Sand Point Residence, nestled within Seattle’s Sand Point Country Club, is a thoughtful reconstruction of a mid-century modern home originally built in 1968. The project, led by David Coleman Architecture, showcases the potential of repurposing older homes while retaining their original charm.
Designed for a busy family of six – including Bruno the dog – this house provides a dramatic frame for the view, extensive connection to the near and distant landscape, and a peaceful, family-friendly stage for city living.
Located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains outside the town of Sultan, Washington, the Field House is surrounded by open pasture lands supporting the activities of 50 horses and 20 ponies.
Our design explores the notion of merging building and landscape. The original house, designed in 1956 by a prominent Seattle architect, is located in the private enclave of Broadmoor.

The Hill House is composed of a 20′ wide x 115′ long stepped platform, a shelter formed by the roof and east wall, and several gabion stone walls.
