The 16,000 sft site of the Krishnan house had several existing trees and we envisioned a relatively low-slung architectural expression that would be interpretive of a vernacular aesthetic, while accommodating its green surroundings.

The project involves an old barn partially damaged by the earthquake. A massive structural intervention has made the building suitable to support other similar events. The environment is characterized by the presence of disused abandoned farm buildings and the cultivated fields of the Modena plain.
The CG342 House was conceived upon the request of a young professional to be built on a lagoon lot located in a private gated golf community. Lot limits get blurred with the inevitable focal point: the lagoon. As regards usefulness, we designed flexible spaces adaptable to our client’s active life as well as to his future family needs, trying not to restrict other possible uses.
