Belonging to the third generation of the same family, Casa Piraja in the city of Sao Paulo was renovated to receive the new residents, a young couple and their dog. The overly compartmentalized spaces with low lighting and low ceiling did not meet expectations.
The project is a renovation for a 38 sqm apartment in a newly built building in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Because it was a limited space, the tall furniture had to be concentrated. This family apartment located in São Paulo, was designed for a family who was asking for integrated spaces. We came up with a proposal to create a large and fluid space taking advantage of the natural lighting conditions and recreating spaces, eliminating partitions and uniting the environments.
This Guaruja flat is the new address of a retired couple on the coast of São Paulo. The architectural intervention in the existing space was based on the decompartmentalization of the environments that were once fragmented did not represents the lifestyle of the residents.
