Luke and Marie approached us with a pre-war cottage in poor condition. Their vision was to lift and build under the cottage, and in their words introduce a ‘sexy’ look to the home.
A traditional Queenslander home relocated to a new site. In very poor condition, the home was restored and contemporary additions added to contrast to the heritage quality of the old home.
The Pop-Up pavilion opens seamlessly to an outdoor dining area, where an exposed block braai anchors the end of the living space. A French travertine tile runs throughout the house, blurring the lines between inside and out and old and new.
