A Brutalist-inspired house designed for a particular family, even when one always creates a project suitable to anyone. Tending to be more feminine than masculine, the house embraces a 50-year-old fruit tree (a Jabuticabeira) at the center of the plot.

This house represents a very common situation in São Paulo, a long and narrow ground [5.6×30.0m], with only the front elevation free of interference of the buildings around it. The challenge increased from the moment that we had to meet an extensive program for this area, which led us to maximum occupancy allowed, 170m2.
Clouds, drizzle, rain, snow or hail, in all its physical states water is related to sky. However, if we are requested to think about a [swimming] pool, our imagination automatically starts to dig into the ground. Seas, lakes, and ponds explain the reason we react in that direction: essentially, a pool fells like a piece of a lake.
