The design of the Camelback Residence transports residents to a remote desert-oasis despite its location in a well-populated, suburban neighborhood. The single-story, 10,000sqft house rests on a gradually sloping, two-acre site that is shielded from its surroundings by a low concrete wall and diverse desert planting
Bridge View Residence faced more than the typical obstacles of a desert build including unusually restrictive zoning and setback conditions along with a difficult build site. Abutting a desert wash and steep drop-off in the land, the plot didn’t offer many options for creating a beautiful sprawling home.
A canopy of angled ceiling planes radiate out towards the expansive city and mountain views while defining the various volumes of the Cholla Vista house.
The Ghost Wash House is located along the lower hillside on the north side of Camelback Mountain in Paradise Valley, Arizona. The site is flanked by two desert washes that move storm water from the top of this urban mountain into the valley below.
The Little Art Studio is a 1400 SF addition to an existing contemporary stucco and glass residence. The addition of this project to the site provided a backdrop and bookend to an existing desert courtyard and a gathering area surrounding a fire pit.
