The RS Apartment represents an experiment of materiality: Antithetic Juxtaposition of metal and wood, with the debut of a new finish in the local design language – Bluesteel.
The 150 sqm apartment covers the entire last floor of a newly built block of flats; it has a spacious terrace (around 60 sqm) and a smart partitioning, so we didn’t need to make radical changes in this aspect.
The site for the project is located in Otopeni city, adjacent to Bucharest. It consists of a generous plot on which an old 100 sqm house was located. The Origami house had a basement, ground floor, first floor and attic.
This Bucharest contemporary house building is located in a neighborhood of courtyard houses, a mix of volumes and styles where 4-5 storey interwar buildings can be seen next to modest ground floor longhouses.
This british-style home is the ideal combination of the country cottage style desired by the owners and Hamid Nicola Katrib’s elegance chic signature. The brick walls and white furniture are enhanced by intense orange and turquoise tones around the place

The project theme, in a way, was following the very first thought. The client appreciated various types of wood and dense, saturated colours. He wanted a rather dark and intense interior atmosphere. And those clear lines became a new tool of defining and outlining the exterior views inside the house.
The Rio apartment was a very entertaining project that lasted 4 months. The apartment is located on Ion Creanga Street, Bucharest, Romania. The beneficiary is a young lady, who lives alone, so everything is colorful and delicate.
