In a sky-high condominium overlooking the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Bjørn Design’s use of a neutral color palette mixed with blond and dark-gray oaks, creates a relaxed canvas upon which is dabbed the client’s favorite colors – blue and purple.

Abaca is the plant that produces the fiber used in making rope. In 1856 the Tubbs Cordage Company began manufacturing rope in San Francisco and with its neighbors, Hazard Gunpowder Company and Union Ironworks, defined the industrial character of its neighborhood.
As the sun’s patterns make themselves visible through the two story space at the core of the Nob Hill apartment, it’s easy to see how the intersection of natural light and art define the architecture of the space.
Designed to house the clients extensive photography collection this space was conceived of as an interpretation of the inner workings of a camera. Studio Collins Weir worked with both architect and client to translate this vision into a warm, inviting interior reflective of the owners personality.
