This beautiful, south facing, ten-acre site on Useless Bay sits at the southern end of Whidbey Island. The clients wanted a home to accommodate large groups of friends and family
El Peumo house is by a sandy plateau surrounded with pines and cypresses, receiving moderate winds and overlooking the Pacific Ocean afar. The project is conceived as a central cabin that gradually opens to the landscape in 4 symmetric fronts, following a continuous constructive module of 2 feet.
The “Sixty-one” is 95% wooden, a wooden modular family house. Its bearing structure is from glued wood and has exact joints made according to a Swiss patent.
The Loewinger house has a main living space/kitchen with huge windows in both sides and a high tilted ceiling, ranging from 13 feet at the front to 20 feet in the back, facing the huge tree and the mountain.
