When a couple sought to transform their dated Amagansett home into a bright, beachy haven, White Arrow stepped in to reimagine every detail. Over two design phases, we revamped the kitchen and bathrooms, added a versatile basement guestroom and home office, and refreshed fixtures, furniture, and lighting throughout.
Mediterranean Meets Mid‑Century Fun
First, we drew on the coastal setting and our clients’ design backgrounds to craft spaces that feel both relaxing and inspiring. In the primary bathroom—at the heart of the Amagansett Beach House—we applied hand‑troweled plaster walls, warm travertine, and pebbled flooring to evoke a Mediterranean hideaway. Moreover, pops of baby blue, terra cotta, and lemon yellow dance across surfaces, creating a joyful palette that instantly lifts the spirit.
Versatile Spaces for Work and Play
Next, we converted the basement into a multi‑purpose zone. Consequently, it now hosts overflow guests, a bright home office, and a cozy lounge area. Furthermore, custom cabinetry and playful geometric niches—designed by White Arrow—keep clutter at bay while adding sculptural interest. As a result, the lower level feels both functional and delightfully unexpected.
Layered Materials and Curated Finds
Throughout the rest of the home, we combined 1970s furnishings with dead‑stock Italian plumbing fixtures and new pieces by local New York designers. In addition, bespoke lighting and textured wallpapers tie each room together. Thus, every corner of the Amagansett Beach House offers a fresh vignette—where layered materials and vibrant accents celebrate summer living.
