The Furioso Vineyards project consists of the renovation and expansion of an existing winery, including the addition of a new tasting room and public amenity spaces.
The project is placed in what was a cataloged neocolonial style house built in 1930, and which was the starting point for the architectural and spatial solution of the project.
When we found this 800 square foot cabin in the California Sierras it had been well-loved since the early 1960s with most finishes and interior spaces left unchanged.

Most people would have torn down this barn to make way for an entirely new structure, but our client had a strong vision. He was enchanted by its many quaint historical features such as the catwalk among the trusses, and the floor made from World War II Liberty Ship hatches.
