WeWork recently has a new office location in London. WeWork is a network of coworking offices which grows globally. New office project was conducted by Oktra and was completed in just 10 weeks.
From the designer: WeWork were in need of an office fit out that aligned with their brand and mission statement, but with doors opening for members just 10 weeks away from launch, they needed it fast. We provided a turn-key solution, meeting specific completion deadlines, which were said to have been near on impossible. Our fast-track design development allowed us to start the construction process almost immediately.
The design inspiration and intent came from WeWork’s New York’s designers. Our candid and collaborative approach throughout the process kept WeWork in the loop, holding regular conference calls to New York and working closely with WeWork’s appointed Project Managers, PDS.
Our solution went beyond the usual design and build offering, we programmed security for each of the members, managed the IT connectivity, comms room, patching and supplying all active equipment which enabled WeWork to connect & manage remotely from New York.
The finished space has a ‘home-from-home’ feel with task lighting featuring in every office. The Radii partitioning against the beautiful oak flooring creates a lovely borderline around the space, acoustic glass enables privacy as well transparency for this interactive environment.
The project was completed in a very short time frame, handing the office space over at 08:00AM for launch at 09:00AM, without a hitch. We are extremely proud of our achievement at WeWork and look forward to working with them on future projects. Overall, this is a very inspirational coworking offices environment, the perfect place for start-ups!
