Rooted in a commitment to both functionality and aesthetics, this project introduces a fresh living space tailored for a vibrant young family.
At the heart of this architectural marvel lies a meticulously crafted timber roof structure, ingeniously designed to maximize both structural efficiency and spatial harmony. Within this regular grid, a new living area unfolds, seamlessly blending contemporary elegance with timeless charm.
Beneath the protective embrace of the timber lattice, a brickwork wall takes center stage, enveloping the space with a sense of warmth and intimacy. Ingeniously designed to surround and enclose without ever touching the roof, this wall creates high-level openings that welcome the gentle caress of morning sunlight while ensuring privacy for neighboring homes.
The brickwork wall is a masterpiece of versatility, transforming seamlessly to accommodate various functionalities. Beginning as an alcove for a cozy window seat, it gracefully folds to house a convenient log store and bends to enclose an inviting oak bench—a focal point of familial gatherings and cherished memories.
Mirroring the ingenuity of the brickwork wall, high-level mirrors adorn the kitchen, seemingly doubling the length of the room while cleverly concealing a hidden utility and shower room behind. This thoughtful integration of space enhances both functionality and aesthetics, elevating the living experience to new heights.
