Warsaw Filtry Flat Renovation by Loft Kolasiński

A unique detail of the apartment’s furnishings are armchairs from the factory in Zadziel the 1950s, which have undergone specialized refurbishment. The photographs of Maria Svarbovej were used to decorate the walls. The Warsaw Filtry flat project inaugurates the launch of the Warsaw branch of the Loft Kolasiński interior design studio.

We built a Wormhole above Bond Street by invading a historic structure with futuristic bits to create a world within a world: new inside of old, dark inside of bright, minimal inside of maximal. The Bond Street apartment is defined by a complete change of style, form, lighting, and material on all surfaces from floor to ceiling.

The rural apartment consists of an open entrance, dining and living room area, a kitchen, two bedrooms for the four children, an ensuite master bedroom, three bathrooms and an attic. The core idea behind the concept development for this project was the application of countryside house principles into an apartment space, for a family of six.

Before moving to Lajeado, in Rio Grande do Sul, mother and daughter lived in a large house with a backyard, in Santa Cruz do Sul. Despite the choice of an apartment as a new home, the matriarch did not want to give up the entrance of light and the presence of green for the new home. That is why the project integrated the social area creating a great light and airy environment.
