Court House by Archier
Court House is a home with heritage in its heart. Julia grew up in Wodonga, her parents built a modernist house there in the 1970s with white walls, concrete floors and north-facing cedar windows
Archier is a small, flexible design studio that engages in the making of objects and space. It has an interest in leveraging locally available materials, trades and processes to create unique dwellings and products.
Over the past eight years, we have designed, documented and delivered a diverse range of projects. Our holistic design practice is not focused on specific sectors – if it’s an interesting project, we’re interested in discussing it. To date our architectural work encompasses residential, commercial (hospitality and workspace), public and private landscape projects, whilst our product side is focused on the design and manufacture of bespoke furniture and lighting.
Our directors have over 25 years of combined experience working on award-winning architectural projects. We were drawn together to create an inclusive practice that is truly outcome orientated. We strive for affordable and responsive architecture that contributes to the public domain through innovative design that focuses on material honesty, thermal performance and constructability.
