Creative Union Network is a multidisciplinary design collaborative, with members who have trained in Europe and North America.
We focus on livable residential and commercial architecture. Our passion for all aspects of the built environment, both majestic and modest, ensures that we always deliver a holistic, detailed oriented approach to designing each project, to provide our clients with a space that they truly feel comfortable in. Our network structure aims to bring together uniquely talented collaborators from a variety of disciplines. This split-level house was purchased with the idea of making it a forever house for the young family of three. The original four-bedroom house was outdated with low windows and a dark basement.
The McCormick House is a quaint row house on a quiet street. Its owners, a young family of four, are a great representative of minimalist living and were looking to improve the existing space they had rather than adding to it.
Designed and built by Canadian architect Murray Brown for his family in 1938, this distinguished example of Toronto’s residential architecture blended traditional archetypes with early modernist inspirations.
The Dufferin laneway house is a new form of housing in our city which celebrates minimalist living and encourages higher density.
The design process was complicated by the non-compliance of the existing building with Toronto Laneway Suite by-laws. Creative Union had to come up with innovative ways to design the new interior
The scope for the renovation at this Roncesvalles Loft included main and second floor interior retrofit. The clients – a tech professional and an artist with their two daughters – wanted us to create an engaging and efficient space suitable for the whole family.
