On the 48 th floor, in a tower in central Tel Aviv, a 400 sqm apartment was designed for four people with two separate spaces , for hosting and living with an impressive art collection entwined in them.
On-site of the family compound was a former work shed that had been converted into a sparse, yet beautifully located cottage, fondly reserved for unruly grandchildren to let loose.
If we wish we can say: for the Lamego house to be a living machine, on the terrace there is the barbecue next to the porch in the vicinity of the kitchen to be adequate. Or we may also say: for the house to be beautiful, on the terrace there is also a bench to protect the whole higher outside area pleasantly.
The building is the centre of social activities during the warm seasons of the year. Cooking and dining takes place in the unheated main space, dominated by generous views towards the Nordic lake landscape, and towards the midnight sun.
Tina’s Barn House was designed for a young family that requested a contemporary take on barn-house style design. From this, the pitched roof design took life and determined the form of the house.
