Overlooking Lake Washington, this 1931 Tudor home featured warm materials and several original details, but suffered from a cramped layout and an inadequate connection to its park-like lot overlooking Lake Washington.
The project is a retrofitted apartment located in Houhai Area, Shenzhen, China. The original space reflected the client’s affection for Chinese-style design and wooden furniture. As approaching the project, AD ARCHITECTURE intended to break through the traditional design aesthetics and the sense of massiveness.
The Pemberton Place residence nestles among large heritage oak trees on a rare one-acre lot in West Austin. Set back from the street along the edge of a bluff, this modern treehouse provides spectacular views across pease district park to the state capitol and downtown.
“ Inside Out Residence ”was an interior designing project for a residence. The client emphasized on having a design that is minimalistic and one that is not too flashy or gaudy, but at the same time, not underwhelming either.
The intervention is a recovery of an attic of a building in Turin whose final intention of the client is a main use for Airbnb. The project thus becomes an opportunity to create an environment that can accommodate future tenants in the best possible way and at the same time give them a moment of relaxation and peace.

The Brodecky House is the client’s dream home. Our client previously lived in a large 5 bedroom house and was looking to downsize. This is an urban infill project, where the new dwelling was built on the backyard land of her existing home.
