The minimalistic style of the redevelopment invokes the austerity of past times. There is a dialogue between the new work and the old medieval house that seeks to marry past and present. The entry of natural light gives form to the volumes, and the fluidity of the spaces is accentuated.
While considering the client’s brief of a two-bedroom, two-bathroom house, our design managed to reduce the overall footprint of the brick veneer house and provide generous flowing living spaces with deep connection to the natural suburban landscape and the heritage of the existing house.
Staying in the Bunker Loft is a memorable experience ! Close by and yet withdrawn from the endless buzz of Hamburg. The concept of the Muraste cottage is based on the archetypal koda, which has been modernized in form and function. The cottage in Muraste consists three koda units – one for sauna, one for livingroom / kitchen and one for bedroom / bathroom.
The Stonewall house follows the material and constructive logics of the original wall-fence, but adapting them to current requirements. It is built entirely with load-bearing walls, reusing the stones from the old wall, mixing them with aggregate from the plot along with limestone and cement.
Minimalist Dutch Villa SG21 is easy, chic and simple as the colour suggest. But to get there wasn’t as easy. The site, typically Dutch had a very strict building envelope and maximum allowed volume of 1000 cubic meters.
Modern Dnepr apartment for a young family with two kids was successfully implemented without any changes of initial plan. In this project all the details were considered, beginning from the layout and finishing with a unique shades of the walls.
