Inside the large lounge, the suspended bench beautifully accompanies the eye from the american walnut bookcase along the windows, becoming functional seating, interrupted by the columns on which electric blue appliques are suspended, giving a touch of typical colour from the 70’s.
A bright two-storey family apartment, open to the view on Villa Ada, green area of Rome. Studio Strato has designed the renovation of the house aiming to make external and internal spaces communicate and to enlarge the living environment as much as possible, projecting it into the green of a historic city park.
This 4,500 Square Feet house was designed and built for a family of four. It is situated at the intersection of two large farm fields and a small naturally occurring basin in Sagaponack, New York. The farms result in large watersheds. Coupled with the Basin, the site becomes quite topographically challenging.

A house in a suburban landscape that is composed as a field of rooms that are in in direct dialogue with the site terrain and surrounding context. The house opens and closes, refocusing the relationship of the house with its suburban context influencing formal outcomes which alter between public and private realms.
This renovation and addition transforms a Victorian-Era cottage into a light filled showcase home for the Builder client. Distinct connections, materials and forms separate major elements within the house, while dissolving the additional mass externally to create an expansive and richly detailed experience.
Bonita Residence is a small house for a couple that love to entertain and have fun. The couple wanted an industrial, loft look. We searched for an old building to reassemble on the site but the long and narrow site conditions narrowed the search. Instead we used old materials to repurpose in the house, including materials from the dilapidated house and barn that existed on the site.
