The brief was for a primary residence for a couple without children with provision for occasionally used guest accommodation for friends visiting from overseas. The site as presented was a steep slope with magnificent sea and coastal views to the east into which a building platform had already been cut, with its associated timber pile retaining wall.
After 23 years behind the lens Jackie Meiring has established herself as one of New Zealand’s most accomplished photographers.
With over 200 covers and many international clients she has been busy in both the editorial and commercial worlds.
She has experience in a wide range of subject matter, including architecture and interior, fashion and beauty, portrait and product.
Originating from the highly competitive Cape Town scene she gained valuable international experience shooting for titles such as Cosmopolitan, Elle, GQ, Men’s Health and Maire Claire, and commercial accounts such as Lacoste, Cuervo Tecquila and Woolworths.
Arriving in New Zealand in 2001, Jackie has made Auckland her home.
She currently shares a studio in the creative Ponsonby district.
