Quietly tucked away on a lush, tree-lined street in the Gardens of Forest Hills, this landmarked single family home underwent a gut renovation.
Located on a tree-lined street in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, this late-1800s, three-story brownstone had been held within a family for decades- and with it, fell into disrepair and in desperate need of a thorough renovation.
Our clients came to us with various scenarios of how they wanted to use their ground floor apartment in their multi-generational Brooklyn brownstone, ranging from renting it out as a separate apartment …
In the entry hallway we wrapped an existing wall with new wooden fins that are perforated into an oversized pegboard, allowing it to function as storage (seen below on the left).
New York architecture studio Dash Marshall has turned two Tribeca residences into one home – Raft Loft – connected by a hanging, blackened steel spiral staircase. We renovated the entirety of the ground floor, executed limited interventions to the second floor, and inserted a new staircase to connect the two spaces with a series of intermediate levels.
