Milena Villalba is an architect from UPV (Polytechnic University of Valencia,2012) and a photographer from EASD Valencia (School of Art and Superior Design of Valencia, 2015). She develops her professional career full time as an architectural photographer. She works regularly in Spain although her practice reached many countries as Belgium, Netherlands, Italy or Poland. Currently she works in partnership with Ana Asensio Rodríguez, together they are Ediciones Mínimas.

The SMM penthouse is located in a representative building of Valencia’s old town. The eclectic-style construction was built at the end of the 19th century and due to its singular façade, the alteration on its external appearance is not permitted.
Casa Maryvilla is born from the place where it is located, adapting to the landscape and the conditions of the plot through a series of topographical movements.
This project was an opportunity for us to demonstrate that, even in rehabilitation interventions, it is possible to successfully apply bioclimatic and passive architecture strategies using natural materials, without renouncing the beauty and contemporaneity of the architectural language.
The building object of this rehabilitation is a single-family house between party walls built in Barcelona in 1942. In the urban fabric of the neighbourhood, typologies from the early 1900s and new buildings coexist.
Access to the Mount Maigmo house is via a steep and narrow zigzag track that ends in a small parking lot alongside the service volume. From here, a long footpath leads up to the house itself.
This Project consists of the integral refurbishment of a home in Petrer (Alicante). The existing building occupied a constructed surface of 138m2, 19 of which correspond to a porch.
